Ariat

Ariat

Ariat riding boots and half chaps have become a staple in the horse industry. The brand has a model for every rider and a six-month warranty on boots to back up their reputation. There are zip-up paddock boots for the leadline queen known for jumping in mud puddles after her classes; Quantum technology soles in dress boots, field boots and paddock boots to comfort the equestrian logging enough hours in his or her boots to call it a full time job; and Monaco field and Dress boots for the rider about to step into the show ring for a perfect round. Whether you are a beginner buying your first pair of riding boots or a seasoned enthusiast well acquainted with the inevitable wear and tear of barn life, Ariat has stock boots in an array of shapes and sizes that will fit your needs.

Sergio Grasso offers stock, semi-custom and custom paddock, field and dress boots. When we fit our customers in our stocked selection of Sergio’s, we are pulling a boot off the shelf that’s worthy of a five star grand prix! For those interested in Sergio’s custom options, we will measure your foot and leg, then its up to you to pick out the details—there are more than you think!

Dehner

Dehner

Dehner boots are a brand any professional will recognize! This is another company that offers both stock and custom boots! The sole of the stock Dehner paddock boot is very popular with riders who have flat feet or low arches. Dehner boots offer unmatched quality; customers frequently tell us that their Dehner boots withstand the test of time, sometimes lasting as long as 25 years!

A.M. Kroop

A.M. Kroop

Kroop boots are made for the serious rider. Designed to be stylish, flattering and tough, these stock boots belong on feet going into big rings! Perfect for the rider interested in a high-quality boot, but unwilling to wait for customs or the rider who just wants to walk out of the store and into the barn with a brand new pair of professional grade boots today!

Aeros

Aeros

Aeros boots by Ovation are another new rider friendly boot we offer at Judy’s Tack Shop. These boots are ideal for riders on a budget who still want a nice, functional riding boot. Riders who are new to the show ring, foxhunters, and kids who are growing like weeds: This is the boot for you!

Tuff Rider

Tuff Rider

Perfect boots for young riders whose feet are growing too fast to keep up with, the first time rider, or the “only on Saturdays when its partly cloudy and in the 70’s” rider. They are our basic starter boot with all the essential elements for a safe ride: hard leather exterior to protect toes from careless ponies, ankle support, a defined heel to prevent the foot from slipping through the stirrup iron and minimal grip to prevent the foot getting caught in case of a fall. A great, safe option for those exploring the sport without breaking the budget!

Tenney's Custom

Tenney's Custom

Tenney’s custom offers an endless combination of styles, colors and options for the rider who wants a custom half-chap. Semi-custom chaps are also available in black and brown and are measured in our stores to fit you! This is a great option for riders who have healed lower leg injuries that make shopping for stock half-chaps frustrating, riders who find stock half chaps hard to fit, or the rider who really wants to make a statement in the schooling ring (hot pink leather, zebra print piping, blue rhinestones, and neon green fringe anyone?!). Author’s note: after shopping around and destroying every pair of half chaps I purchased, I finally broke down and ordered a pair from Tenney’s. It has been one of the best equipment investments I have made. I have had my current pair for two years (average life span of pervious half chaps was about six months) and they are showing no signs of needing replacement! When these do wear out, I will definitely be a repeat customer!

Tredstep

Tredstep

Tredstep offers stock half chaps with length and width size options in one inch increments for a fit that’s practically custom! These zip-up and snap half-chaps are offered in black or brown, in suede or smooth leather. Tredstep even offers a half chap that is so smooth and seamless it is often mistaken for an actual field boot! This half chap is suitable for both the new rider and the seasoned professional. Make no mistake; these stock half chaps are high enough quality to make even their owner forget they aren’t customs!

Elite

Elite

Elite half chaps are an excellent option for the serious rider on a budget. We frequently recommend these to those riders who have been riding for a while, but are new to half chaps. They offer a great fit around the rider’s calf for a close feel of the horse without sacrificing quality or aesthetics!
